My Bucket List Adventure with WaterAid!

On World Water Day, March 22, 2018 I experienced the thrill of standing at Uhuru Peak on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, 19,341 feet above sealevel.  The sun shone brighltly on the fresh snows of Kilimanjaro and the tea in the thermos that came to the top with Living and Rama, our guides, provided welcome warmth and hydration.  These were the culminating moments of the efforts of our team of 5 climbers  to raise awareness of the global water and sanitation crisis! Our objective was to raise funds to help WaterAid Canada in its efforts to bring clean water and decent toilets to the most needy.

In the days that followed our descent from the peak, we had a chance to see first hand the work of WateAid in the villages of Endanachan and Sangara in the remote district of Babati.  There is much to be done.  There is much that will be done with your gift to WaterAid Canada.

It is not too late to help.  Donations can still be made using the "Donate Now!" buttons at the right or left of this page.

My project visits showed me that our contributions to WaterAid are making a difference.

Thank you for helping WaterAid reach more with the precious gift of clean water.
